It's coming to my last couple of days in Oahu, Hawai'i and there is still so much exploring to do.
My friends and I decided to hang out to celebrate me, nearing the end of my journey and going into my next stage of life. I always wanted to go to the East Side to take a photo in a circle of rocks with water in the middle of it and float. My friend, roommate, and I all met up by 10 am at my place. We could tell it was going to be a great day because when we went to go to the Uber, we saw a rainbow. We took the Uber up to Makapu'u Beach Park. I was really excited to go but upon arriving and it getting colder, the waves were rough.
Far out the waves crashed into rocks and we could feel the mist from far away. The waves came up at least 10 feet high. Not many people were in the ocean but if they were the waves did pull, push and toss them around. These waves were coming in so quickly I could not even find a rock bed to take pictures in so I decided to snap a couple of pictures on top of a rock.
After, we decided to go to a beach that is much calmer when it comes to waves. Lanikai Beach. We rode in another Uber and it was a Tesla! Seeing the mountains through the see-through sunroof was great. I never rode in a Tesla before so the hype people give this car is definitely worth it. My uber driver was also cool as well. He listened to Taylor Swift and Tay Money and other artists I liked.
Lanikai's sand was very beautiful and it looks tan like a makeup fountain. The water was very cold so we did not stay in long. There are also mountains in the ocean. A couple of hours later, we hiked up the road about 2.7 miles to inner Kailua. While still walking along Lanikai I snapped a couple of pics along another edge.
We stopped at a burger shop and then a Christmas shop and I bought two ornaments for my Christmas tree once I get home.
It took a while for it to hit that I lived in Hawai'i. It probably hit around October. Now, it does not feel real that I leave in a week or so or that I have been counting down the days as well. I really enjoy all the adventures I've been on and the people I have met.
